Job Objectives:

Job Overview:

• Maintain the hotel’s standard of cleanliness in all guest rooms.
• Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complains.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
• Provide value added service by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations.

Work Environment:

• Under variable temperature.
• Outdoors / indoors.
• Around chemicals.

Qualification:

• High school diploma.

• Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
• Project a willing, urgent, “can do” attitude.

• Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
• Follow directions thoroughly.
• Understands guest’s service needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Physical Abilities:

• Exert physical effort in transporting (30 pounds).
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.

Desirable:

• Experience: Minimum three (3) years in housekeeping department of first class hotel
• Education: Completion of housekeeping related continuing education courses preferred.
• General Skills: Good communication skills and ability to exercise good judgment. Knowledge of hotel operations. A high standard of personal hygiene and grooming. Must be self-disciplined and have a desire to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Leading Quality Assurance Standards by practicing attention to details and consistency in the inspection process of all guest areas in the resort.
• Promote safety awareness and practice safe work habits by following all safe work practices as outlined in the IIPP Manual, MDSD sheets and Housekeeping SOPs.
• Comply with Cordevalle policies and procedures as outlined in the associate’s guidebook.
• Be a cooperative, enthusiastic and productive “teammate”.
• Achieve productivity goals by consistently meeting department quotas.
• Enhance the “guest experience” by making a positive contribution and by looking for opportunities to “Delight” our guests.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
• Participate in department meetings.
• Flexibility to assist the Housekeeping Department with other job duties and special assignments.

Primary Duties:

• Assign villa attendant cleaning stations.
• Assign daily work to house attendant.
• Supervise villa attendant, house attendant and laundry attendants.
• Prepare Showrooms (FH, Bungalow, and Villa) daily.
• Inspect rooms after villa attendants are finished, correct any oversights.
• Report room status to Executive Housekeeper, Front Office or MOD.
• Inspect and visually inventory storerooms.
• Process work orders.
• Access and report inventory levels of supplies.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe operation. Make suggestions for minor adjustments and notify maintenance of necessary repairs.
• Report any room maintenance issues to Engineering
• Ensure that all items left in guest rooms or clubhouse areas routed to Lost and Found storage for securing.
• Supervise “Turn Down” service.
• Report and document work related injuries.
• Train newly hired villa attendant as required.
• Perform other duties and assignments that are traditional with this position.
